alternate spellings - vocab set

i wonder if there is a way to add an alternate spelling for a vocab set item. in russian there is one letter that is sometimes spelled one way and sometimes another, and it would be nice if both could be counted correctly. on a related note... in some of my definitions i'm giving two possible equivalents (ex. cheap, inexpensive). i will have to test this out with the "learn new words" and i haven't tried it yet, but i assume that it will require that both things be typed for people to get it right? that could be problematic. i suppose in that case i should just choose one or the other...?

I have a similar issue! My curriculum often teaches a couple of different variations for one single English definition (i.e. both "hacer fila" and "hacer cola" for "to wait in line").
I have always had to separate these in the vocabulary sets because there is no way to assign multiple definitions for an English term, but it has always been a problem for students to know which term to choose when learning the vocabulary set. This has been especially problematic when both options have been provided for multiple-choice tasks.
In the meantime, I have had to come up with little hints to add to the English definition for the students to see (i.e. "
the longer word
" or "the word that starts with P
", etc), but this looks quite messy and it kind of confuses students at first, so it would be fantastic if we could assign multiple correct target language definitions to one English term.

For English, we take care of the multiple definitions problem by never prompting the student to produce the English. We'll have to look into how we can offer alternate spellings for the target language.
